What is Cybersecurity ? 

Cybersecurity is a process of protecting or protection of Computer Systems or Networks from theft, hacking, damage to software or hardware of computer, data etc.

or simply you can say protection from cybercrimes.

Cybersecurity Threats :

• Malware and Viruses
• Phishing 
• Ransomware etc.

These threats give damage to data stored, steal data etc. 

By some reports and counts more than 2,000 cyberattacks are done everyday. 

Defining cybersecurity threats

1. Password Attacks : This is a common attacks in which hacker use to take access of computers or smartphones by manipulating the authentication of users account. It is also known as Password Cracking. 

Types of Password Attacks : 

1. Brute Force Attack

2. Rainbow Table

3. Malware 

4. Offline Cracking 

5. Guess 

6. Dictionary Attack

2. Malware And Viruses : Malware is a malicious software of programs which is used to infect the computer systems or networks. These malware are generally shared on internet by hackers. Whereas,Viruses are the also a type of malware which harms the data and software in computer system and also infect the software and files in it. 

3. Phishing : These types of attacks are used to send fraud communications that appears to come from official source and attacks the computer system and steal users confidential data like Account Passwords, Credit Card Numbers, Bank account passwords etc. 

It is usually done through messaging or e-mails. 

NOTE : Never click on any of links in messages which are fraud or reported as fraud.

If you click on the link it can hack your device or infect it with virus.

2. Smishing and vishing 

3. Angler Phishing 

4. Whaling 

5. Spear Phishing 

4. Ransomware :  Ransomware is type of malware which deny or prevent the users or organisation to access files and folders. These malwares can even deny you to use your computer systems by locking it.
