Firstly, we have to know What is ANIMATION ?  

Animation is a process in which computer generated images are made in such a way that it looks like moving figures or images. Mostly animation is made from Computer Generated Imagery (CGI).

Types of Animation : There are 5 types of Animation -

1. 2D Animation 

2. 3D Animation 

3. Traditional Animation 

4. Motion Graphics Animation 

5. Stop Motion Animation 

There are some techniques which are used to make animation : - 

• Drawn Animation 
• Model Animation 
• Cut-Out Animation 
• Computer Generated Imagery (CGI)

Now with some software you can make your own Animation like : 

1. Animoto (animation and editing software)

2. Flipa Clip (for cartoon animation)

3. Animation Desk (app for Android, Iphone, Ipad)

4. Pics Art Animation (app for Android, Iphone, Ipad)

5. Stop Motion Studio (app for Android, Iphone, Ipad)

Defining some types of Animation : 

1. 2D Animation :- It is a animation in which each frame of images are drawn by hand. This technique is used in Animation Movies. 

2. 3D Animation :- It stands for 3 dimensional animation in which 3d objects are changed into digital objects using computer and made as an illusion that they are in 3d space. 

3. Traditional Animation :- This animation is as same as 2D Animation because these type of animation is also drawn by hand. It is also called Hand-Drawn Animation. 

4. Motion Graphics Animation :- It is a type of Animation which creates an illusion of motions, and are merge with Audios and can be used in Multimedia Projects or Animation. 

5. Stop Motion Animation :- It is an filmmaking technique using animation, in which objects are physically made in small or large increments between individually photograph frames so they can appear as independent motion or change when the frames are played.

What is VFX ? 

VFX stands for Virtual Effects. It is a process in which (CGI) Computer Generated Imagery are combined with real-action video footages to create a virtual scenes that would not be possible in real life. Eg; Specifically in Action Movies VFX is used to create stunts.

• Computer-Generated Imagery 
• Digital Composition 
• Matte Painting 
• Virtual Cinematography
• Prosthetic Makeup
• Motion Controlling Photography 
• Stop Motion Effects 

Difference between VFX and SFX ?

A term which is called SFX (Special Effects) is used in movies before production and VFX (Visual Effects) is used after the production of movies in the part of Editing. 

Software which are used to create VFX : 

1. Maya

2. 3ds Max

3. Flame 

VFX components can be created like Stones, Rain, Rainbow, Liquid etc. or can be extracted from different sources. These components or elements which are used in videos or movies are called Compositing of VFX. 

To avoid background in Editing we use Screens like Green Screen to cut or replace the background in videos. You can use any colour of screen in background but remember you should not use the colour which you are using in your video as it will also be edited. So' to avoid colour mistake in your videos use that colour of screen which colour is not in your video. 

This Green Screen Editing in VFX is edited by using Chroma-Key Software. This Software uses CVT (Computer Vision Technology) to erase background colour of your Screen, and you can animate and enhance your video.
