Information About Technology Part -1 (Computer Networks)

 Hi There, In this Series Of Article I will post about new Technology and Information about it. 

Computer Networking 

Computer Networks are the sets of  computers sharing information and resources which are provided by Network Node.

Computer Networks are of 8 types :

1. Personal Area Network (PAN)

2. Local Area Network (LAN)

3. Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)

4. Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)

5. Campus Area Network (CAN)

6. Wide Area Network (WAN)

7. System Area Network (SAN)

Briefly defining all the points. 

1. Personal Area Network is a network which is used by an individual or groups of individual to share the data and information. This networks has a shorter distance less than 30 or 10 meters.

2. Local Area Network is a network used locally used in geographical areas like in buildings or institutions. Eg: Public Wi-Fi and Home Wi-fi are best examples of LAN Network.

3. Wireless Local Area Network is a network used wirelessly in local areas like Wi-Fi and Hotspots are the examples of WLAN. 

4. Metropolitan Area Network is a network used in metropolitan areas or cities using Wire cables or Modem devices. Eg. Cable TV Network, Telephone Networks etc. 

5. Campus Area Network is a network with connections of other multiple Local Networks in an area. 

6. Wide Area Network is a network used in a Wide Area, connected with other Local and Metropolitan Networks. Eg. Internet is itself a example of WAN used in Wide areas.

7. System Area Network/Storage Area Network is a special network that provides block level network to access storage. Eg. Mostly Servers use this network.

 SERVERS : Servers are the set of Computers which stores several data in it. Severs also provides Data and services to other computer programs and users.
